(Hawaii Athletics) - The University of Hawai'i women's soccer team and head coach Michele Nagamine announced the 17-match schedule for 2019 on Tuesday morning.
The Rainbow Wahine will host 10 matches this season at the Waipi'o Peninsula Soccer Stadium, including their first matches of the season beginning on Thursday, Aug. 22nd against the University of Southern California. The matchup against the Trojans will be the first in the series since 2004. Last season USC finished third in the Pac 12 with an 8-2-1 record, while finishing the season at 17-2-3 overall while advancing to the third round of the NCAA Championship Tournament. UH will follow up with a match against the University of San Francisco on Monday, Aug. 26.
The following week UH will host Nevada and Sacramento State. The Bows will first take on the Wolf Pack on Thursday, Aug. 29, followed by a matchup with the Hornets on Saturday, Aug. 31. In both series history's UH holds the upper hand against each squad with a record of 9-8 all-time over Nevada and 6-3 against Sacramento State.
The first and only road non-conference trip of the year will be a swing through the Dakotas with three matches spanning from Sept. 6-10. UH will visit North Dakota State, University of North Dakota, and South Dakota State over the stretch. Of the three squads, UH has only faced North Dakota State before, dating back to last season when the Bows' evened up the series with the Bison at 1-1 with a 2-0 victory. 
After a nine-day hiatus on the schedule, UH will return to action by hosting a four-day event including matches against two more Pac 12 opponents with Washington State slated for Thursday, Sept. 19, followed by a date with UCLA on Sunday, Sept. 22. The Bruins finished second in the conference in 2018, achieving a 17-3-2 overall record and 9-2-0 in conference play, while advancing to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championship Tournament.
A week and a half later the Bows will begin their trek towards a Big West Conference tournament berth with their opening match taking place on Thursday, Oct. 3 with a visit from CSUN. The following week will bring in UC Irvine on Oct. 10.  In 2018 UH opened the conference schedule on the road against both squads, dropping the contest with UC Irvine in double overtime 1-0, but upended CSUN 2-1.
UH will then head out for its second road trip of the season by visiting UC Riverside on Thursday, Oct. 17 and Cal State Fullerton on Sunday Oct. 20.
The final home stretch will take place against Cal Poly, Thursday, Oct. 24 and UC Santa Barbara, Sunday, Oct. 27. The matchup with the Gauchos will serve as senior night for the Bows, with the match set to start at 5:00 p.m. HT.
The regular season will wrap up on the road at UC Davis and Long Beach State as October draws to an end, and November begins. On Nov. 7 the semifinals of the Big West Tournament will begin and a tournament champion be will be crowned on Nov. 10.
