(Hawaii Athletics) - Coming off a bye week after eight-consecutive road games, the University of Hawai'i baseball team returns to Les Murakami Stadium to host Big West leading UC Santa Barbara May 17-19 for the final home series of the 2019 season. Following Sunday's game, UH will hold a Senior Day ceremony to honor its five seniors - Colin Ashworth, Dominic DeMiero, Kash Koltermann, Ethan Lopez and Maaki Yamazaki - whose college baseball journeys are coming to a close at the end of the year.

  • Hawai'i returns to Les Murakami Stadium to face Big West leading UC Santa Barbara.
  • It will be the first action for the Rainbow Warriors since a 4-1 win at Cal Poly on May 5 to cap an eight-game road trip.
  • The last time UH played at home was April 20 when the 'Bows earned a 3-1 win over Cal State Fullerton. Hawai'i is 14-15 at home this season.
  • Last season, UH went 1-2 against the Gauchos to close the season in Santa Barbara. UCSB won the first two games before Adam Fogel's three-run home run helped lift the Rainbow Warriors to a 10-6 win in the season finale.
  • Hawai'i is 19-16 in the all-time series versus UC Santa Barbara. The last time the Gauchos came to Honolulu was 2017 when the 'Bows won two out of three.
  • Following Sunday's game, UH will hold its annual Senior Day presentation to honor Colin Ashworth, Dominic DeMiero, Kash Koltermann, Ethan Lopez and Maaki Yamazaki.
  • With 27 career saves, Dylan Thomas is currently tied for second in program history with Lenny Linsky. One more save would put him in a tie with Gene Smith for the most career saves in UH history (28). Among active D-1 pitchers, the redshirt junior is tied for second with 27 saves and is third with a career ERA of 1.88.
  • The Gauchos are ranked in the national polls, as high as number six in the May 13th Collegiate Baseball poll.
  • After the UCSB series, Hawai'i will close the regular season on the road at Long Beach State. The three-game set is scheduled for Thursday, May 23 - Saturday, May 25 in Long Beach, Calif.
