A low pressure center to the east of us will lift north of the islands today, keeping the threat for scattered rains in the forecast through the weekend.

Saturday, Partly sunny with some periods of rain possible throughout the day. North winds 10-20 mph and cool temperatures in the middle to upper 70s. 

A surface low will  move northwest Sunday and continue to bring scattered rains to the region. Lower rain chances for Monday.

Surf: North 10-16 ft, West 4-6 ft, East 10-16 ft, South 1-2 ft.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the summits of Haleakala and on the Big Island through 10 a.m. today.
