HONOLULU - A former Kamehameha School faculty member was sentenced to 10 years behind bars for sexual assault Friday.
Former Assistant Band Director James Maeda pleaded guilty back in September to multiple accounts of sex assault.
He was arrested in February of 2018 after a mother of a student found evidence on her 14-year-old daughter's cell phone.
Maeda received 10 years behind bars under a plea deal.
