(Hawaii Athletics) - University of Hawai'i men's volleyball libero Gage Worsley was selected as the Big West Conference's Defensive Player of the Week following his performance over the weekend in a series sweep of Stanford. 
The Moraga, Calif., native earned his first career Big West award after averaging 3.00 digs per set while helping limit the Cardinal to .246 hitting in the two matches. He had a match-high 11 digs in the opener on Friday and seven digs in the rematch.
Currently, Worsley ranks among the nation's leaders with a 2.67 average and has two matches of 10 or more digs. Worsley and the Rainbow Warriors will head to Charlotte, N.C., for matches against Queens (Feb. 7 & 9) and Saint Francis (Feb. 8).
