HONOLULU - Hawaii Foodbank starts a new partnership with a national food service, aimed at ending hunger. From now until November 30, if you order a meal through Bite Squad and provide a specific promo code, Bite Squad will will donate $1 to Hawaii Food Bank.

It's called the Food Love partnership. Customers can enter code HIFOODBANK at checkout for free delivery (up to $10 off the booking fee) - for new customers only. 

In addition to the financial contribution, Bite Squad says it made a commitment in good faith to supply partners with gift cards, event or catering support and volunteer support to help with fundraising or operational needs.

“For every $10 we donate, Hawaii Foodbank can provide up to 25 meals to people who need them,” says Liz Sniegocki, Field Marketing Manager for Bite Squad. “Bite Squad is thrilled to support this organization and its efforts to help feed the 287,000 people who are at-risk of hunger in Hawaii on a daily basis.”

Hawaii Foodbank is one of several Food Love partners along with Feeding Tampa Bay in Tampa, FL, All Faiths Food Bank in Sarasota, FL, Arkansas Food Bank in Little Rock, AR, and The Gathering Place at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. Bite Squad pledged to donate up to $5,000 nationwide towards the 2017 Food Love partnership to help end hunger locally.

The Hawaii Foodbank is a certified member of Feeding America and operates as the official food bank in the State of Hawaii. In partnership with the food industry and community, The Hawaii Foodbank serves as a link between charities and those in need of food assistance.

Hawaii Foodbank collects canned goods and perishable foods from supermarkets, distributors and wholesalers to inspect and sort for distribution. Food is then distributed to nearly 200 charitable agencies on Oahu; the Hawaii Foodbank network of member agencies serves the elderly, families, children
and people who financially struggle to make ends meet.
